Former Alabama running back Eddie Lacy had the best game of his rookie season against the defending Super Bowl champs, and a few former Crimson Tide defenders had big weeks during Sunday's NFL action.
A week after coming up a yard shy of 100, Lacy tallied 120 yards on 23 carries as his Green Bay Packers defeated the Baltimore Ravens 19-17. Lacy, who became the first 100-yard rusher against the Ravens this season, wasted no time making his presence felt. On the Packers' first play from scrimmage, Lacy had a 10-yard carry, and the second round pick followed that with a 37-yard jaunt on the next play. Lacy added a catch for five yards and later picked up 13 yards on Green Bay's final drive to seal the victory. Lacy's former teammate Courtney Upshaw tallied 2 tackles for the Ravens.
Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Wallace Gilberry notched five tackles and a sack in a 27-24 victory over Marcell Dareus and the Buffalo Bills. Dareus tallied four tackles and a sack in the loss. DeMeco Ryans led Philadelphia with 12 tackles as the Eagles topped the Buccaneers 31-20. On the opposing sideline, Mark Barron finished with 5 tackles for Tampa Bay.
Four former Alabama players will take the field in tonight's Monday Night Football matchup. The San Diego Chargers, featuring Jarrett Johnson and D.J. Fluker, host Trent Richardson, Josh Chapman and the Indianapolis Colts. Kickoff is set for 7:40 p.m. (CST).
