TUSCALOOSA, Ala.--Fans can have their photo taken on the television set from the Bear Bryant Show during Coca-Cola Kickoff on the Quad prior to the Alabama-Southern Mississippi football game Saturday.
Golden Flake Snack Foods is making the set available starting at 11:30 a.m. Individuals or groups can have their photo taken and retrieved from www.goldenflake.com. A donation to the Paul W. Bryant Museum is required to enter the set.
The Coca-Cola inflatables will open on the Quad at 10:30 a.m. including the usual activities of throwing a football, kicking at mock goal posts and diving for the goal line with bungees attached. In addition to sampling of Coke products, free temporary, stick-on Big Al tattoos and shakers will be distributed while supplies last.
Tom Roberts, Eli Gold and Ken Stabler host the Jeep pre-game radio show on the Crimson Tide Sports Network from the stage in the shadow of Denny Chimes starting at 12:30 p.m.
Former Tide placekicker Michael Proctor will sign autographs in the Alabama Power Legend tent from Noon-12:45 p.m. Proctor, a native of Pelham, played for Bama's 1992 National Championship team and earned All-Southeastern Conference and All-America honors in 1993 and 1994.
The Alabama softball team will sign autographs from 12:45-1:30 p.m. in the Mayfield Dairy team tent.
Admission to Coca-Cola Kickoff on the Quad is free. Numerous food and refreshment vendors will again be available along Sixth Avenue prior to the game. ScreenTech will be selling officially licensed Bama gear from the Quad and game programs will also be available.
Kickoff for the game is 2:37 p.m. in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game is televised on Crimson Tide Pay Per View.
