TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team finished its bye week practice schedule on Thursday afternoon with a two-hour workout in full pads at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility.
The team will have a lifting session on Friday morning and then have the weekend off before beginning preparations for Mississippi next week.
"I was really pleased with the effort and the attitude that we had in these few days of practice," Alabama head coach Nick Saban said. "I think we worked a lot fundamentally on things we need to improve. The players had a good attitude about it."
No. 2 Alabama used its bye week to heal any bumps and bruises and focus on the fundamentals before getting back to the grueling Southeastern Conference slate.
The Tide's next game action comes on Oct. 18 when Houston Nutt's Mississippi Rebels (3-3) visit Bryant-Denny Stadium for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff. The game will be televised nationally on CBS with Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Tracy Wolfson calling the action.
