Crimson Tide Begins Practice Week for Kentucky

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The top-ranked Crimson Tide football team returned to practice on Monday, working for two hours in shells at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. Alabama heads back into Southeastern Conference play this week, traveling to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 6 p.m. CDT on ESPN2.

Earlier in the day, the College Football Performance Awards announced that AJ McCarron was selected as the Honorable Mention Quarterback of the Week following his performance against Georgia State. The senior signal caller set a school record for completion percentage and completed 15 of 16 passes for 166 yards and four touchdowns in approximately 26 minutes of play.
