TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ---- University of Alabama Athletics Director Mal Moore announced today that the Crimson Tide will close its 2003 football season in Hawai'i. The game will be played on Nov. 29 at 50,000-seat Aloha Stadium.
"We have had an overwhelming positive response to playing there this season," Moore said, "so we have been working hard to return to the islands next season.
"Our players were very responsive to the decision to play at Hawai'i and many expressed an interest in returning next year," Moore added. "This will be an added bonus for our players and fans."
The Warriors are members of the Western Athletic Conference and are currently tied for first place with a 2-1 record. Hawai'i is 3-2 overall.
Alabama student tickets for this year's game with Hawai'i will go on sale on Friday, October 11 beginning at 9:00 a.m. All tickets are $21.00 each and will be available at the Athletic Ticket Office located in Coleman Coliseum.
