The No. 7 University of Alabama (5-0) football team worked for about 30 minutes in helmets, shoulder pads and shorts Thursday afternoon, the final of three straight bye week practices.
"It was a good three days," Alabama head coach Mike Shula said. "We got some stuff done on Ole Miss. We got to work some of the younger guys. We did a lot of running, a lot of lifting, and now they can get some rest.
"We are trying to catch our breath right now and get ourselves ready. When we come back on Sunday, we need to be really focused and get our energy going towards Ole Miss."
Shula said an MRI revealed that freshman Cory Reamer (Hoover) suffered a torn ACL in Wednesday's practice and will be out for the rest of the season. Shula said that Reamer would likely have surgery "sometime later next week.
"He was just starting to get into the special teams and was doing a nice job, so we will have to find a replacement for him."
Shula said that he hoped everyone would be ready for next week's game with Ole Miss.
Alabama will take Friday and Saturday off and return to the practice field Sunday evening (5:30-7 p.m.) as preparations continue for next week's SEC game at Ole Miss.
