TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama football team completed its preparation for Saturday's game with the Georgia Bulldogs with a 90-minute workout in helmet and shorts inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
"The last two days have been really good," Alabama head coach Dennis Franchione said. We have really good, crisp practices and the spirit has been very good. We are looking forward to the game against a really good Georgia football team."
The 22nd ranked Crimson Tide will host the seventh-ranked Georgia Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m. (CT) in a game televised nationally by CBS Sports. The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs will be meeting for the 62nd time in history, but only the 11th time since 1972.
The widely popular ESPN College Gameday show will originate live from Tuscaloosa this Saturday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. (CT). Chris Fowler, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit will broadcast live from the southwest corner of the University Quadrangle, located across the street from Reese Phifer Hall (College of Communication). All Alabama fans are encouraged to attend the program and show their Alabama spirit as Gameday telecasts to a national cable audience.
The program will also contain a feature on Alabama's three senior defensive linemen Jarret Johnson, Kenny King and Kindal Moorehead. The trio spent several hours with a Gameday production crew on Wednesday and that interview and off-the-field feature will be aired on Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Coach Fran will also appear live on the set this Saturday to discuss the Crimson Tide and their 4-1 start this season.
