The top-ranked Alabama football team held its second practice of the week on Wednesday afternoon, going for two hours in full pads at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. The Crimson Tide continued to work on its game plan for this week's matchup with Georgia State, which is slated to kick off on Saturday at 11:21 a.m. CT in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Earlier in the day, senior kicker Cade Foster was named a candidate for the 2013 National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award, presented by Fidelity Investments. All candidates are now in the running for the William V. Campbell Trophy, which former Alabama offensive lineman Barrett Jones won in 2012. The award, endowed by HealthSouth, recognizes the best scholar-athlete in the nation.
Tickets are still available for Saturday's game and can be purchased online at RollTide.com or by calling the Alabama Ticket Office at 205-348-BAMA (2262), or toll free at 1-877-TIDETIX. The Athletic Ticket Office in Coleman Coliseum is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Extended phone hours are through 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
