TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team finalized preparation Thursday at Tuscaloosa's Thomas-Drew Fields for its first road game of the season.

Head coach Mike Shula said the Tide had a good workout and should be ready for the Georgia Bulldogs.  He also announced the captains for Saturday's game: Justin Smiley (Offense), Leslie Williams (special teams) and Anthony Bryant (defense).

"Our guys have been great," Shula said.  "You don't see anybody hanging their heads or any of that.  You wouldn't expect that here anyway, but I still think it needs to be said."

"We're 1-1 in the SEC and we're going to go try to get our second win against another good football team," Shula said.  "I know if I was playing I would be (excited).  This time we have to go make some plays and when the game is on the line and we have a chance to do it we have to have the guy that makes the play that helps win the game."

The Alabama-Georgia game will be televised nationally by CBS Sports and kickoff is set for 3:34 p.m. (EST) from Athens.  This will be Alabama's first road game of the 2003 season after playing its first five games at home, including four straight in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
