TUSCALOOSA, Ala. --- The Alabama football team continued its preparations Wednesday for this weekend's meeting with the Georgia Bulldogs by working two hours and fifteen minutes in the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.

"It was a good day," said Tide coach Dennis Franchione following the session, "and we got in some good work.  "We shortened practice a little to help stay fresh for Saturday."

Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. in a game that will be nationally televised by CBS.  Georgia comes into the game ranked No. 7 in this week's AP poll, while the Tide made its first appearance of the year at No. 22.

This week of preparation has been documented by ESPN's The Season, a critically acclaimed documentary series which takes viewers behind the scenes with athletes and teams of the SEC.

"That has not been a distraction for our team," Franchione offered.  "Compared to what we have been through lately, this has been easy. I think the team has been focused this week."

Following Saturday's game, the Crimson Tide will get an open week and will not play again until Oct. 19 when meeting Ole Miss for Homecoming.
