TUSCALOOSA, Ala.-- Football Town USA, Coca-Cola's touring national exhibit, will highlight an extremely active Coca-Cola Kickoff on the Quad prior to Saturday's Alabama-Arkansas football game.
Football USA is a touring exhibit in support of college football featuring a variety of interactive games starting at 11:30 a.m. Included in the exhibit is an opportunity to have a photo made with the color of ESPN the Magazine plus a Jeopardy-like 2-second trivia game, face painting and much more.
Cecil "Hootie" Ingram will appear in the Legends Tent at 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Ingram was a standout defensive back at Bama in 1951-54, earning All-Southeastern Conference honors. He led the nation with ten interceptions in 1952 and he had an 80-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Tide's 61-6 Orange Bowl victory over Syracuse.
Ingram enjoyed a coaching career as an assistant at Virginia Tech, Georgia and Arkansas and was head coach at Clemson. He was an administrator with the SEC and was athletics director at both Alabama and Florida State.
The Crimson Tide soccer team will appear in the Mayfield Dairy Team Tent at 12:30-1:15 p.m. Other activities include free Verizon shakers as well as other vendors and exhibits. Activities on the Quad begin three hours prior to kickoff and there is a food court along Sixth Avenue and the northeast corner of the Quad.
The Crimson Tide Network pre-game show with Eli Gold, Tom Roberts and Ken Stabler begins on the Quad at 12:30 p.m.
Kickoff for the Alabama-Arkansas game at Bryant-Denny Stadium is 2:30 p.m.
