The University of Alabama football team (3-0, 1-0 SEC) worked out for just over an hour in helmets and shorts this afternoon.

"It was a good practice today, we finished up on our down and distance stuff," said head coach Mike Shula.  "Our guys had another good week of preparation.  We've got some senior leadership that has really showed up like I would have hoped it would so far this year.  That's going to be really important this weekend.  I say this weekend, it's every day.  Tonight, everyone getting off their feet, getting in early, getting some rest and tomorrow coming in focused and Saturday realizing it's an early game."

Captains this weekend will be Roman Harper for the defense, Charlie Peprah for special teams and Tyrone Prothro for the offense.

The Tide will have a final walk through at Bryant-Denny Stadium on
Friday before Saturday's 11:33 a.m. kickoff against the Arkansas Razorbacks (1-2, 0-1).
