The University of Alabama football team stepped up its preparation for the Arkansas Razorbacks today pumping in crowd noise from various speakers around the practice field.

"It was good with the crowd noise, we needed it," said head coach Mike Shula.  "Practice was different once the noise came out, but it was a good reaction.  It was better than I thought it would be.  We'll get it again tomorrow."

Shula said has been pleased with the Tide's level of effort in preparation this week for its road trip of the season.

"Overall we've had two good days of practice but it's important to have a good day tomorrow," he added.

The Tide will have one final practice on Thursday before flying out on Friday to Fayetteville where the team will have a walk through at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

The game will be nationally televised on CBS Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT.
