TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The football team returned outdoors as the Crimson Tide practiced for two hours in full pads Wednesday at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. No. 3/2 Alabama continued its preparations for its Southeastern Conference opener against No. 14/12 Arkansas.

"We have had a couple good work days," said head coach Nick Saban. "This is a difficult preparation. It is an important challenge for our team starting conference play against a very good team. I like the attention to detail that our players have, and I like the way they have worked for two or three days this week trying to get ready for this game."

The Razorbacks enter Bryant-Denny Stadium ranked in the top-10 nationally in scoring and passing offense. The Tide counter ranks in the top five in five defensive categories, including the second ranked scoring defense.

Saturday's game will air on CBS with Verne Lundquist serving as the play-by-play announcer, and Gary Danielson at his side as the color analyst. The two will be joined by sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. CT.
