TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The No. 21 ranked University of Alabama football team put the finishing touches on its game plan for its upcoming game with Northern Illinois.

The Huskies have won nine of their last 10 games and upset No. 15 Maryland (20-13, OT) in DeKalb  on Aug. 28.

"We had a pretty good Thursday, but there are still some things (on offense and defense) we need to  get corrected," Alabama head coach Mike Shula said. "The players will need to spend a little more time in the playbooks."

"As coaches we are anxious to see how we play each week, Shula added. "The focus has been good and the players are excited about trying for that third win of the season.  We have thrown a lot at them in the last three weeks. Our preparation has been good.  They have been very attentive in meetings. We know we are going to make mistakes, we just don't want to make the same mistakes twice."

Shula also announced on Thursday that senior offensive lineman Atlas Herrion, senior defensive end Nautyn McKay-Loescher and sophomore middle linebacker Freddie Roach (special teams) will serve as game captains.

The Crimson Tide hosts Northern Illinois at 6:05 p.m. (CT) at Bryant-Denny stadium.  The game will be televised on a pay-per-view basis.  Alabama and Illinois residents may call their local cable operator to order the game. The game will also be available on DISH Network (Channel 456) or by calling 1-800-TVSTARS (large C-band owners).

The game is also available through ESPN GamePlan in the states other than Alabama and Illinois.  Handling the announce duties for the Pay-Per-View telecast will be David Crane  (play-by-play), Tyler Watts (analyst) and Chris Stewart (sideline).
