Alabama's AJ McCarron reminded the country why he is one of the nation's elite quarterbacks and an unmatched leader in the Crimson Tide's win over No. 6 Texas A&M this past Saturday in College Station, Texas.
The senior from Mobile, Ala., threw for a career-high 334 yards with four touchdowns and no intercep-tions. He completed 20-of-29 passes for a 69.0 percent completion percentage while orchestrating the Crimson Tide offense from the line of scrimmage with masterful run and pass checks.
The signal-caller is on the watch list for numerous awards, including the Maxwell Award, the Walter Camp Award, the Davey O'Brien Award, the Manning Award and the Johnny Unitas Award.
McCarron is Alabama's career leader in passing touchdowns with 54 while ranking second in career completions (490), completion percentage (66.0) and passing yards (6,400). He owns a 27-2 career rec-ord as the starting quarterback while ranking second in career winning percentage at (.931) and fourth in wins (27).
