TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama football team wrapped up its week of preparation for North Texas with a 90-minute practice at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility on Thursday afternoon.

“The biggest focus with our team is continuing to improve,” Alabama head coach Nick Saban said. “We’re really focusing on individual aspirations instead of inspirations, in terms of trying to get our players to play as well as we can play, to start fast and finish strong.  We’ve played very well at times this year, but our consistency is not what it needs to be.  We want to continue to work on that so we can play with better consistency from beginning to end.

“North Texas is a much-improved team this year.  They are a lot better on defense. Offensively, they have done a good job in terms of balance.  Todd Dodge has got a really good offensive concept, so it has been a challenge for us.”

No. 4 Alabama will play host to North Texas on Saturday, Sept. 19, with kickoff slated for 11:21 a.m.  The game will be televised by the SEC Network (WTTO Channel 21 in Birmingham, ESPN GamePlan and ESPN360.com) with Dave Neal, Andre Ware and Cara Capuano calling the action. Eli Gold, Phil Savage and Barry Krauss will have the radio call on the Crimson Tide Sports Network, which airs three hours prior to kickoff.
