TUSCALOOA, Ala. - The second-ranked Alabama football team wrapped up the biggest portion of its preparations for North Texas on Thursday with a 90-minute workout in shells inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Practice Facility.
The Crimson Tide focused on fine tuning the game plan, while working on special teams and continuing to pound home fundamentals.
"We have stayed pretty focused this week and worked hard to prepare for North Texas," junior defensive lineman Jesse Williams said. "We are all trying to stay fundamentally sound and do our job to help the team win. We are all trying to get better and more physical up front."
It will be the second meeting in the last three years between the Crimson Tide and Mean Green and the fourth overall. UA is 3-0 in the series after a 53-7 win in Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2009.
Alabama will have a short walk-through on Friday before Saturday's 6:38 p.m. kickoff on Fox Sports South from Bryant-Denny Stadium. Bob Rathbun will handle the play-by-play duties while Tim Couch will be the color analyst and Kristina Akra is on the sidelines.
