TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Bryant Museum to Celebrate Coach Bryant's 96th Birthday This Friday

Friday, September 11th commemorates the 96th birthday of legendary coach Paul W. "Bear" Bryant. To honor this great coach, the Bryant Museum is hosting a celebration. WTBC Radio will be broadcasting a live remote from the museum with three guests who formerly played and coached under Bryant. The remote will run from 7-9 am with the following schedule:

7:00-7:30 WTBC will be talking with museum staff and visitors

7:30-8:00 Interview with Tommy Brooker

8:00-8:30 Talk with former Bryant staffer and current Alabama Athletics Director, Mal Moore.

8:30-9:00 Talk with former Bryant assistant Jack Rutledge

11:00-1:00 WZBQ live remote broadcast

Come celebrate the birth of Coach Bryant with a piece of houndstooth cake, Friday September 11th at the Bryant Museum.

Admission is free to all whose birthday is September 11th.

Events continue Saturday, September 12th, at the Bryant Museum with events leading up to the kickoff of the Crimson Tide's home opener versus Florida International University. On game day the museum will open at 9 a.m. and the doors will remain open till 6 p.m.. Several things will be happening during the day at the museum, events will occur as follows:

9:00 a.m. Bryant Museum doors open 11:00-1:00 Tommy Ford, author of "Alabama All-Access Football Vault" will be signing his book outside the museum gift shop.

1:00-3:00 Bryant Museum Director Ken Gaddy will be available to sign "Twelve and Counting", a book commemorating Alabama's 12 football National Championships.

3:00-6:00 WVUA, the University of Alabama's television station will be here handing out information on their programming.

6:00 Kick off Alabama vs. Florida International.
