TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Former Alabama assistant coach Dude Hennessey will highlight Saturday's activities as the seventh edition of Coca-Cola Kickoff on the Quad continues the Crimson Tide Football Experience. Activities will start at 4 p.m. prior to the Alabama-Mississippi football game.
The Coca-Cola inflatables will again be present on the Quad at 4 p.m. with their usual activities of throwing a football, kicking at mock goal posts and diving for the goal line with bungee cords attached. In addition to sampling of Coke products, free temporary, stick-on Big Al tattoos and shakers will be distributed while supplies last.
Tom Roberts, Eli Gold and Ken Stabler host the Jeep pre-game show on the Crimson Tide Radio Network from the stage in the shadow of Denny Chimes starting at 6 p.m.
Hennessey, a defensive assistant coach on four National Championship and nine Southeastern Conference championship teams under Coach Paul W. Bryant from 1960-76, will sign autographs in the Alabama Power Legends Tent from 5:30-6:15 p.m.
The Tide women's tennis team will appear in the Mayfield Dairy team tent from 6:15-7:00 p.m.
Admission to Coca-Cola Kickoff on the Quad is free. Numerous food and refreshment vendors will again be available.
