TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama football finalized its preparation for the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners on Thursday at Thomas-Drew fields.

"It was a good day for preparation," Alabama head coach Mike Shula said. "We as coaches want everything to go exactly right all the time and today was a good for that.

After practice, Shula announced the captains for Saturday's game as well: Dennis Alexander (offense), Anthony Madison (defense) and Lance Taylor (special teams.)

"We talk to the guys all week about focusing on their job and not get distracted," Shula said.  "We rely on the seniors, the guys who have played and been through it before, to help the young guys out, especially the guys who are going to be playing."

Alabama and Oklahoma are set to kick off at 6:47 Saturday night.  The game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
