TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The University of Alabama football team put the finishing touches on its gameplan for the Saturday, September 2 season against Hawai'i, with a 90-minute session in helmets and shorts Thursday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew practice facility.
"We have pretty much finished up our physical preparation," Alabama head coach Mike Shula said. "(Friday) we will have a couple of walk throughs. We have had good work. Now its time for these guys to apply what they have been taught on the field and not lose the discipline that we teach every day from start to finish."
*Coach Shula announced that senior running back Kenneth Darby (Huntsville), senior defensive back Ramzee Robinson and senior fullback Le'Ron McClain (Northport) will serve as game captains.
*The Alabama-Hawai'i game will kickoff at 6:07 p.m. (CT) on Saturday and will be televised through the Crimson Tide Sports Network on a pay-per-view basis. Fans in Alabama and Hawai'i may order the game by calling their local cable outlets. The game will also be available through ESPN GamePlan (except Alabama and Hawai'i). The game is also available to all DirecTV (Channel 797) and Dish Network (Channel 461) subscribers.
