TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team practiced for an hour-and-a-half Thursday afternoon in the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility, putting the finishing touches on its game plan for Saturday's season opener against the No. 9 Clemson Tigers.

"Things are going well," Alabama head coach Nick Saban. "I think the players are tired of practicing. They have been practicing for a long time. Fall camp is longer now that it has ever been. It is a long time to practice without having anything to look forward to. We need to re-center, re-focus and get our minds right and get ready to go, and get our mental energy and mental intensity on the task at hand."

No. 24 Alabama and Clemson will meet Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game will be nationally televised by ABC Sports with kickoff set for 7 p.m. (CDT).

The Crimson Tide will hold a final walk thru on Friday in Tuscaloosa, before leaving for Atlanta later in the day.
