TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team worked in shorts and shoulder pads at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility on Wednesday.  Shula said the day was spent mainly in situational work for Saturday's game.

"Overall, practice was good," Shula said.  "Offensively it was better and the defense needed to clean a couple of things and get zeroed in. (The players) are excited and getting ready to hit somebody else for a change, instead of beating up on each other."

"I just hope these guys stay focused and do the things we've worked on in practice," Shula said.

Shula also said that he would likely announce game captains some time Thursday.  The Crimson Tide will practice in Tuscaloosa on Thursday and Friday before heading to Birmingham.
