TUSCALOOSA, Ala. With thunderstorms looming and lightning flashing in Tuscaloosa on Saturday afternoon, the University of Alabama football team moved its 3:30 practice indoors to the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility for the first time in 2007 fall camp.
The Tide went through its two-plus hour workout on the synthetic turf of the Hank Crisp Facility for the first time in the fall, as weather conditions have been dry through the entirety of the Tide’s preseason schedule.
With an off day slated for Sunday, Saturday’s practice marked the Tide’s final weekend workout of fall camp. Alabama opens its season next Saturday, Sept. 1, in Bryant-Denny Stadium against Western Carolina.
On Monday, the Tide begins its game-week schedule for the first time under first-year head coach Nick Saban. Saban’s weekly press conference will begin on Monday, Aug. 27, at 11:30 a.m. in the Naylor Stone Media Suite in the Mal M. Moore Athletic Facility.
All practices remain closed to the public.
Kickoff for the Tide’s matchup with Western Carolina is set for 6:07 p.m. The game is available on a pay-per-view basis. Fans interested in purchasing the broadcast should contact their cable company or satellite provider for updated information.
