TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Crimson Tide continued preparations for its season opener with a two-hour practice in full pads in the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility on Thursday afternoon. The practice was the 22nd of fall camp, leaving Alabama nine days away from kicking off its 2014 slate against West Virginia in the Georgia Dome on Aug. 30.
Earlier in the day, junior defensive back Landon Collins and junior wide receiver Amari Cooper were named to ESPN.com's Preseason All-America Team. Collins, a semifinalist for the 2013 Jim Thorpe Award, recorded 70 tackles, including four for loss, two interceptions and eight pass breakups, while Cooper has 104 career receptions for 1,736 yards and 15 touchdowns for his career.
