TUSALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama football team practiced for two hours in pads on Thursday afternoon as preseason practice continued.  The Crimson Tide practiced inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility as heavy afternoon thunderstorms rolled through Tuscaloosa.

“I really feel that the last two days, we have sort of turned a corner,” Alabama head coach Nick Saban said following Thursday’s practice.  “I guess two practices ago, I felt like we didn’t respond very well and handle the circumstances out there in the heat, and did not practice as well as we need, and did not get the execution that we needed to get.

“Yesterday and today, I think the players responded and pushed themselves through it, especially with the idea that school started and a lot of other things going on right now that are important things in their life.  We have certainly been pleased with the progress that we have made in the last two practices.”

Alabama will practice again Friday at 3:30 p.m. and hold its final preseason scrimmage of the preseason on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Bryant-Denny Stadium.  All practices and scrimmages are closed to the public.
