Hey, Coach!? Makes Season Debut Thursday



TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Crimson Tide Sports Network’s popular 90-minute call-in show, “Hey, Coach!” makes its 2007 debut Thursday, Aug. 16 from Bob Baumhower’s Wings Sports Grille in Tuscaloosa.

Veteran sportscaster Tom Roberts will once again serve as the host for the University of Alabama’s weekly call-in show.  The show will air on the Crimson Tide Sports Network from 6:30 until 8 p.m. (CDT) throughout the football season.

Roberts will update the Crimson Tide fans on football practice with taped interviews from head football coach Nick Saban on Thursday, as well as selected Crimson Tide football players.

The show will also include segments with head volleyball coach Judy Green and head soccer coach Don Staley, as both teams are in the midst of preseason camp.  The volleyball team will open their season on Aug. 24-25 at the University of Oklahoma Tournament in Norman, Okla.  The soccer team opens the 2007 season at Robert Morris (Aug. 31) and Duquesne (Sept. 2).

Roberts will also talk with men’s basketball coach Mark Gottfried as the Crimson Tide begins practice for its four-game exhibition tour against Canadian colleges in Ottawa over Labor Day weekend.
