Crimson Tide Wraps Up Two-A-Days
Aug. 13, 2008
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team held its final scheduled two-a-day practice on Wednesday, under cloudy and cooler conditions at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility. Alabama worked for two hours in full pads on Wednesday morning and is scheduled to hit the field again Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. for its final two-a-day session. "We have one more practice tonight, but I think there is a little excitement in each and every one of us that two-a-days are over," Alabama offensive lineman Marlon Davis said following Wednesday's morning practice. "We are still going to compete and work hard each and every day. "Practice was pretty grueling today. We worked hard in the morning practice and it was a little cooler. Sometimes when it is a little cooler, like today, you get a little lazy, but you have to push through it and be mentally tough." The Crimson Tide will return to single practices on Thursday and Friday at 2:30 p.m. and will hold its second scrimmage of the preseason on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. All practices are closed to the public.
