TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ?? Following its first off day of the preseason on Sunday, the University of Alabama football team returned to the practice field with another two-a-day practice Monday at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility.

The Crimson Tide worked for two hours in full gear in the morning session and then came back with another two-hour session in helmets, shoulder pads and shorts in the night session.

“I think myself and the offensive line are starting to get on the same page as to who is coming and who they are picking up and I think it is starting to show,” said UA quarterback John Parker Wilson. “We had a great practice this morning and we feel good about where we are at right now.”

The Crimson Tide will practice at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday and then hold its final two-a-day session of the preseason camp on Wednesday.

“We started off pretty good but we have a lot to work on,” said linebacker Darren Mustin. “We need to work on finishing a lot of things.  When something goes wrong, we need to work on playing through it and when something goes right, we need to learn to keep it up the entire time.”

Alabama opens the 2007 season Saturday, Sept. 1, against Western Carolina in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
