Crimson Tide Holds another Two-A-Day Practice
Aug. 11, 2008
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Coming off its first off day of the 2008 preseason, the University of Alabama football team was back at work Monday with another two-a-day practice session. The Crimson Tide met on Sunday, watching tape of Saturday's scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium, but did not practice. "I think the scrimmage went well," Alabama senior quarterback John Parker Wilson said following Monday's morning practice. "I think we did everything we wanted to do offensively. We set some goals going in and we took care of the ball for the most part. We had some big plays. A bunch of guys had some really big catches. We moved the ball really well and we had some good third downs." Alabama worked for two hours on Monday morning in full pads and held another two-hour session in helmets and shoulder pads Monday night at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. "Everything is going pretty good," Alabama junior offensive lineman Brian Motley said after Monday's practice. "I'm getting in the flow of the offense and I'm learning the offense. Things are good." The Crimson Tide will practice again on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 2:30 p.m. The Tide will hold its final two-a-day practice on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. All practices are closed to the general public.
