Tide Football Ranked 24th in USA Today Coaches Poll

The University of Alabama football team has been tabbed as the 24th best team in the country according to the USA Today Coaches Top 25.

The Crimson Tide finished last season at 6-6, but has 16 returning starters, including seven on offense and nine on a defense that finished last season ranked in the top five in the country in several categories.

The USC Trojans were picked number one, followed by Texas, Tennessee, Michigan and Oklahoma.  The Southeastern Conference was represented by six teams in the Top 25.  The Volunteers were tabbed third, the LSU Tigers sixth, the Florida Gators 11th, the Georgia Bulldogs 13th, the Auburn Tigers 15th and Alabama 24th.

The Crimson Tide will report on Monday, August 8th and will open practice on Tuesday, August 9th.
