TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -
The football team held its 2014 Fan Day presented by Alumni Hall festivities at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sunday. There was an estimated 3,500 fans on hand for the open practice and autograph session.
The open practice started with heavy rain but the sun soon returned as the Crimson Tide practiced for roughly two hours. The Tide worked in shells (shorts, shoulder pads and helmets) for the first time this camp, focusing on basic offensive, defensive and special teams drills. Practice was followed up by a 45-minute autograph session on the field.
Alabama resumes its preseason practice slate on Monday beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.
