Alabama's SEC Opener vs. Vanderbilt is Sold Out; Tickets Remain for 4 Other Alabama Home Games

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama Ticket Office announced Tuesday afternoon that all tickets have been sold to the Crimson Tide's 2006 SEC opening football game with Vanderbilt, slated to be held September 9 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The sale of individual game football tickets to the general public began Monday morning for single-game tickets assigned from the visiting team allotments for games versus Vanderbilt, Louisiana-Monroe, Duke, and Florida International (Homecoming). Tickets remain on sale for the Louisiana-Monroe, Duke and FIU games.  Also available in limited supply is a four-game mini-season package, order limit of four, to all of the following games: Louisiana-Monroe, Duke, Florida International and Mississippi State.

Tickets are available online at www.rolltide.com, or by phone at 1-877 TIDE TIX and (205) 348-BAMA (2262).  Fans are encouraged to purchase online to save on handling fees.  Tickets to the games versus Ole Miss (Oct. 14) and Auburn (Nov. 18), as well as all season tickets, are sold out.

The Crimson Tide football team, coming off a 10-2 record in 2005 that was capped by a victory in the Cotton Bowl Classic, opens the 2006 season on Saturday, September 2, against the University of Hawaii at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff time is to be determined.
