TUSCALOOSA, Ala. --- The kickoff time for Alabama's first four football games of the 2002 season has been set, starting with the Tide's Aug. 31 opener against Middle Tennessee at Birmingham's Legion Field. That game, which will be televised by SEC syndicator Jefferson-Pilot, will kickoff at 11:30 a.m. (CDT).
Alabama's Sept. 7 game at Oklahoma will be televised by ABC and will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. The North Texas game on Sept. 14 will be televised on a pay-per-view basis and will begin at 6 p.m., while the Southern Miss game on Sept. 21 will be televised by espn2, also with a 6 p.m. kickoff. Both games will be played at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Kickoff times for the remainder of Alabama's schedule will be announced following a 12-day advance selection by the television networks.
