Alabama football coach Dennis Franchione's in-depth conversation with anchor/reporter Paul Crane airs on Fox Sports Net's SOUTHERN SPORTS REPORT, Sunday, July 7 at 9 p.m. CDT.

With the loss of 2001 quarterback Andrew Zow, Franchione discusses his plans for the '02 position, with senior Tyler Watts (6-3, 217) and redshirt freshman Brodie Croyle (6-2, 185) as the top two returning signal callers. In the conversation with Crane, Franchione touches on the intense passion of the Alabama fans and the pressure of living up to Crimson Tide coaching legend Paul W. "Bear" Bryant's standards.

Franchione also mentions the effect the NCAA sanctions have on his team and the challenges he faces with recruiting, specifically with other schools' coaches using the sanctions against the Alabama program.
