2008 SEC Football Television Schedule Released

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The 2008 SEC football television schedule was released Tuesday and Alabama will open the season with a primetime showdown against Clemson in Atlanta on ABC. The 2008 SEC season will kick off on ESPNU with a matchup between Vanderbilt and Miami (Ohio) in Oxford, Ohio on Thursday, August 28 at 6:00 p.m. CT. This game is scheduled to be televised on ESPNU. Also on the night of August 28, North Carolina State will square off against South Carolina at 7:00 p.m. CT in Columbia, South Carolina. This game is scheduled to be televised on ESPN. The much anticipated SEC-ACC contest between Alabama and Clemson in Atlanta is scheduled to air on ABC Sports on Saturday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m. CT. The SEC Championship game is scheduled to be televised by CBS Sports on Saturday, December 6 at 3:00 p.m. CT in Atlanta, GA. The scheduled game times are tentative and subject to change.
