TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The University of Alabama football team completed its 13th practice of the spring Tuesday afternoon with a two-hour practice in shoulder pads and shorts at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility.
Alabama quarterback John Parker Wilson (Hoover) said the offense has worked hard this spring and is excited about Saturday's A-Day game at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
"We have worked really hard the past few weeks," Wilson said following Tuesday's practice. "We are excited about the game and I think we have come together as a team. It's all about being disciplined, coming together as a unit and having accountability at each position."
The Crimson Tide will practice again Thursday, April 17 at 3:30 p.m. in its final tune-up for the annual A-Day game.
Alabama defensive lineman Keith Saunders (Willingboro, N.J.) is also excited about the anticipation surrounding Saturday's game and the progress the defense has made this spring.
"I am really excited," Saunders said. "This whole spring has been a learning process for this football team. Things come to us more naturally now after several weeks of practice. This is a fun defense to run."
The Golden Flake A-Day Game is set for Saturday, April 21 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The A-Day game will kickoff at 1:05 p.m. (CDT) and will be televised live by CSS, with Chris Stewart, Tyler Watts and George Teague.
