Alabama Football Prepares for Second Scrimmage

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The football team practiced for two hours Friday in front of over 1,100 high school coaches in shells at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

It was the 11th practice of the spring and third of the week. The Crimson Tide will holds its second scrimmage on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The Tide's annual coaching clinic is also underway, which began Thursday and wraps up with Saturday's scrimmage. Former Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs was the featured speaker Thursday afternoon and former Alabama head coach Gene Stallings will speak tonight.

Along with Gibbs and Stallings, the 2014 clinic features the Alabama staff, Baylor head coach Art Briles, Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Dean Pees, former player and current Tennessee Titans running backs coach Sylvester Croom, Seattle Seahawks special teams coordinator Brian Schneider and former Alabama player and current Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Chance Warmack.

Alabama's 2014 A-Day Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, at 1 p.m. (CDT) inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The A-Day Game is once again free to the public and will be televised live on ESPNU.
