Alabama Football Team Wraps Up Day 2 of Spring Drills
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team practiced for two hours Tuesday afternoon in helmets, shoulder pads and shorts completing its second day of spring drills at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility.
Alabama senior defensive lineman Wallace Gilberry said the first two days have been a learning experience and things are going well.
"Football is football and schemes are schemes," Gilberry said after Tuesday's practice. "We are taking things one step at a time, but we are leaning it pretty good. Once we get an understanding as to what is going on, we should be pretty good defensive unit."
Senior wide receiver Keith Brown was happy to get back on the field after a long layoff since the bowl game.
"Things are good," Brown said. "Everyone has accepted it real well and we are just ready to play again, it's been a while since we have been on the field"
Alabama will conduct its third practice of the spring Wednesday, March 28 at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility. All practices are closed to the public.
