The University of Alabama football team got back to work this afternoon after taking a couple days off following Saturday's scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

"We had a good practice with a couple days off in between," said head coach Mike Shula.  "We spent the last couple days in meetings just doing a lot of watching our cut-ups from spring."

Today's practice, the 13th of 15 allotted spring practices, consisted of a lot of scrimmage plays with tackling while Thursday's practice will only be with helmets and shorts in preparation for Saturday's annual A-Day game which Shula mentioned will be similar to last Saturday's scrimmage.

Perhaps one of the brightest moments of the day's practice was when senior quarterback Brodie Croyle lined up under center and took some snaps in some running plays.

"He actually took a few snaps today," said Shula.  "It was just some running plays where he handed off but even that was good to see."

The Tide will have its final workout on Thursday before taking Friday off in preparation for A-Day.
