The University of Alabama football team continued preparation for its third scrimmage of the spring season with a short practice today in shorts and shoulder pads.

Head coach Mike Shula made it a short practice in order to get the guys feeling better for Saturday's scrimmage.

"We did work on plus territory again and some two-minute," said Shula.  "The second team offense scored a touchdown in the two-minute session.  It was good; good energy, good practice overall, we've just got to work to get more guys playing good consistently tomorrow."

Shula said the team would treat the scrimmage a little more like a game where if the first group goes three and out, then they'll move the ball 35 yards down the field like a punt.

"We'll have a couple things going on before where some kickers are competing against each other.  Not with the whole offense and defense, but just the snap, hold and kick," said Shula.

Saturday's scrimmage will be the final one of the spring season before the annual A-Day game on Saturday, March 19.  The Tide will conduct workouts on Wednesday and Thursday next week prior to the A-Day game.
