The University of Alabama football team continued its spring workouts this afternoon, preparing for its second scrimmage of the spring season.
"Today we had just a light practice with shorts and shoulder pads to get guys feeling a little fresher for tomorrow," said head coach Mike Shula.
The Tide got in a lot of work in a short amount of time, working on moving the ball, working in plus territory, some two-minute work and towards the end working a two-minute drill with the linebackers and defensive backs going against the wide receivers so senior quarterback Brodie Croyle could get some work.
Alabama will head to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday for another scrimmage.
"Tomorrow we'll get some individual work, some seven-on-seven work and then we'll go into the scrimmage where we'll pretty much have ones and twos," said Shula.
The team will take Sunday and Monday off before heading back into workouts on Tuesday.
