TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Former Alabama quarterback John Parker Wilson was honored as the 2009 Under Armour Senior Bowl's Offensive Player of the Game following his performance on Saturday night at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile.
Wilson, a Hoover, Ala. native completed 7-of-13 passes for 56 yards while rushing for 17 yards that included a 4-yard touchdown run. He helped lead the South to a 35-18 win over the North, the second straight win for the South.
Former Crimson Tide safety Rashad Johnson also had a good game for the South squad, registering a team-high five tackles. Center Antoine Caldwell showed his versatility all week by working at center and both guard spots and is believed to have improved his draft stock. Tight end Travis McCall did not have a catch, but proved to be an excellent blocker.
