NEW ORLEANS, La.- The Alabama football team returned to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for its second practice in New Orleans. The Crimson Tide worked out for two hours in shells Friday afternoon.

"I think that regardless of how many times you've been in a game like this, there's still going to be some anxiety that goes along with playing in a game like this," Alabama head coach Nick Sabansaid. "I do think that maybe some of the older players on the team that are the leaders on our team who have been in this situation before have certainly helped some of the other players who are looking for leadership."

The team spent the morning at the Superdome for the BCS National Championship Media Day. The entire team and coaching staff met with members of the media from all over the world for an hour.

The defense will be featured in a press conference tomorrow morning at the Marriott Convention Center. After practice tomorrow afternoon the team will then head to a local hospital.

"I think we're ready to play," Alabama junior offensive lineman Barrett Jonessaid. "It's been so many days since we last played. It's almost like a whole other miniature season. So we're anxious to get back out there on the field."

The BCS National Championship game will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012, at the Superdome. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN with Brent Musberger on play-by-play, Kirk Herbstreit as the color analyst and Tom Rinaldi and Erin Andrews reporting from the sideline.
