TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama senior offensive guard Danny Martz will participate in the inaugural Las Vegas All-American Classic to be played January 22, in Las Vegas. He will participate on the East all-star team.
Martz (Gaithersburg, Maryland) started every game of the 2004 season at right guard for the Tide and finished with 752 snaps on the season, including a season-high 72 in back-to-back games against Utah State and Western Carolina.
He will be joined by five other SEC players in the all-star game, Decori Birmingham of Arkansas, Darnell Jones of Mississippi State, Steven Harris of Arkansas, Danny Lindsey of Auburn and Corey Larkins of Tennessee.
The game will be played at Sam Boyd Stadium (capacity 36,175). Included in the week-long schedule of activities is a skills and measurement combine for NFL scouts.
