ALABAMA at TENNESSEE

ALABAMA UNDER SABAN IN OCTOBER: Alabama has been very successful in the second month of the season under head coach Nick Saban. Now in his sixth season at Alabama, the Crimson Tide sports a 17-1 record (19-1 including two vacated victories in 2007) in October. In 20 games over that span, the Crimson Tide has outscored its opponents 616-254.
TIDE 56-3 UNDER SABAN WHEN LEADING AT THE HALF: Alabama defeated Tennessee on Saturday after taking a 23-10 lead into halftime. With the victory, the Crimson Tide is 56-3 when leading at halftime under head coach Nick Saban.
30-POINT STREAK: Alabama recorded its seventh straight game with 30 or more points which is the longest streak to start a season in school history. Alabama had three seasons with five games in a row (1920, 1979 & 2009) with 30 or more points.
McCARRON TOSSES FOR A CAREER HIGH: Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron threw for a career-high 306 yards and tied a career-high with four touchdowns. McCarron has thrown for four touchdowns three times in his career. The 300-yards passing are the most by an Alabama quarterback since Greg McElroy threw for 377 against Auburn on Nov. 26, 2010.
100-YARD RECEIVERS AT TENNESSEE: Alabama has had a 100-yard receiver in each of its last four trips to Knoxville. Amari Cooper became the fourth in a row by hauling in a career-high 162 yards on seven receptions.
COOPER SETS FRESHMAN SINGLE GAME MARK: Amari Cooper recorded a career-high 162 yards in the win against Tennessee which is the most ever recorded by an Alabama freshman in a single game.
YELDON RACES FOR OVER 100 AGAIN: Alabama freshman T.J. Yeldon ran for 129 yards on 15 carries. Yeldon has now run for over 100 yards in back-to-back games and three times on the season. (144 at Missouri & 111 vs. Michigan)
FIRST HALF SCORING: Alabama has helped its own cause over the last few seasons by not trailing while entering the locker room at the half. The Tide has either held a lead or been tied entering the intermission in 27 straight games. Over that span UA has outscored the opposition, 540-114 in the first half. The last time the Tide trailed at the half was at South Carolina on Oct. 9, 2010.
SCORING STREAK CONTINUES: With the Amari Cooper 23-yard touchdown in the first quarter, Alabama raised its current total of consecutive games in which it scored to 149. The 149 straight games mark the longest streak in program.
FIRST QUARTER POINTS: Alabama has scored in every first quarter this season, outscoring its opponents, 90-3. The field goal by Tennessee was the first points surrendered by the Tide in the opening quarter this season.
MCCARRON PASSES WITHOUT AN INTERCEPTION: AJ McCarron continues to build his school record of passes without an interception. After passing Brodie Croyle's mark of 190 passes for the record, McCarron now has 239 passing attempts without an interception.
TURNING TURNOVERS INTO SCORES: Alabama has taken advantage of turnovers this season. The Crimson Tide has forced 20 turnovers in 2012 and converted them into 15 touchdowns or 111 points. With the two interceptions against Tennessee, Alabama has scored 11 touchdowns off 13 interceptions.
LESTER PICKS OFF 12TH CAREER PASS: Alabama senior safety Robert Lester picked off his 12th career pass which ranks tied for eighth all time.
MULTIPLE INTERCEPTIONS: Alabama has tallied 13 interceptions on the season and has picked off at least one pass in six of the seven games in 2012. The Tide has picked off two or more passes in five of the seven games, including three in a row.
