2011 (FRESHMAN): Phillip Sims, the talented signal-caller has split time with AJ McCarron at quarterback ... seen action in eight games and completed 64 percent of his passes for 163 yards ... has thrown two interceptions. Kent State: Came off the bench in the fourth series ... completed 7-of-14 passes for 73 yards and two picks ... also rushed three times with a long run of 15 yards. Penn State: Took over on the final drive of the game as the Tide closed out the No. 23 Nittany Lions in Happy Valley, 27-11.
