2012 (JUNIOR): Started all 14 games in his first season at Alabama ... junior-college transfer who totaled 40 tackles (6.5 for loss), plus two interceptions and a fumble return (57 yards) for a touchdown ... broke up seven passes and forced a fumble. Michigan: Registered three solo tackles in first career start at Alabama. Western Kentucky: Made three solo tackles (one for loss) and came up with an interception. Arkansas: Recorded four tackles, broke up a pass, forced a fumble and had a tackle for loss in shutout victory against the Razorbacks. Florida Atlantic: Broke up a pass in his fourth consecutive start on the season. Mississippi: Registered five tackles, including one for loss ... picked off his second interception of the season while helping limit Rebels to 138 yards passing. Missouri: Recorded one solo tackle and broke up a pass in win against the Tigers. Tennessee: Had a solo tackle and broke up a pass in win over the Volunteers. Mississippi State: Played one of his better games of the season against the Bulldogs, making four tackles and knocking down two passes. LSU: Totaled a season-high nine tackles, including six solo stops ... recorded 1.5 tackles for loss (four yards). Texas A&M: Delivered one tackle for a loss of three yards. Western Carolina: Picked up a fumble and sprinted 57 yards for a score late in the second quarter. Georgia: Made five tackles, including two solo stops, in SEC title-game win against the Bulldogs. Notre Dame (BCS National Championship Game): Helped bolster an Alabama defense in a 28-point victory over the Fighting Irish to secure the Tide's second straight national championship ... made four solo tackles, including a tackle for loss (-2 yards), and broke up a pass to thwart an Irish drive.

COLLEGIATE HIGHLIGHTS: Signed with the Crimson Tide in 2010 and came to Tuscaloosa after two years at Northeast Mississippi Community College ... proved to be a playmaker on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball in high school but excelled at defensive back in junior college ... a second-team NJCAA All-American in 2011 after recording 24 tackles with two tackles for loss, one sack and one interception .... started at NEMCC ... ranked by as a four-star prospect and the nation's No. 7 JUCO player.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Coming out of high school at Deshler, was rated as the No. 7 player in the state of Alabama by the Tuscaloosa News and was No. 16 in the Mobile Press-Register's Elite 18 ... listed as the No. 21 cornerback by and the No. 39 athlete by ESPNU ... a two-time Alabama Sports Writers Association 4A All-State selection, named as a defensive back in 2008 and an athlete in 2009 ... rated 12th in the Birmingham News' 2010 Super Senior rankings ... competed in the Alabama/Mississippi High School All-State Game ... recorded 70 tackles as a junior in 2008 with four interceptions -- with two returned for touchdowns ... also returned two punts and one kickoff for touchdowns while hauling in over 800 yards receiving and five touchdowns ... picked the Crimson Tide over Auburn and Southern Miss.
