2006 (Sophomore): Recorded one knockdown against Louisiana Monroe. Davis played a season-high 21 snaps against Louisiana and had 13 plays against Florida International. He finished with 40 total snaps in four games.
2005 (Freshman): A back-up left tackle, Cody Davis played in eight games, getting 151 snaps on the season. He had a career-high 51 snaps in the Southern Miss game. On an offensive line that lost three starters, Cody used spring practice to help solidify a spot in the offensive line rotation, finishing behind Chris Capps at the left tackle spot.
Prep: A four-year starter at Hillcrest, Davis' quick feet and imposing size gives him the makings of a top-notch offensive tackle. Davis was a class 6A All-State selection and was ranked the No. 20 player in Alabama by SuperPrep magazine. He helped lead the Patriots to the quarterfinals of the class 6A state playoffs before losing to the eventual state champion Hoover. Davis was a tight end as a sophomore, but moved to left tackle for his last two high school seasons. He graded 86 percent for the season as a junior.
Personal: Cody is the son of Mary and Bert Davis and he has an older brother Matt and older sister, Allison. Born 4-13-85. He is in pre-major studies.
